Clinical Evaluation of Cefsulodin (SCE-129) in Patients with Pseudomonas aeruginosa Infection of Urinary Tract

Abstract
|
|
|
Cefsulodin was administered to 15 patients with urinary tract infections due to Pseud omonas aeruginosa by intramuscular dose of 1,000 mg per day for 7 days. The results obtained as follows:
1) Clinical results were excellent in 7 cases (46.7%), good in 6 cases (40%), poor in 2 cases (13.3%).
2) Bacteriologically Pseudomonas aeruginosa were eradicated in 13 cases (86.7%).
3) No side effect was observed except transient headache and dizziness in one patient.
